This author does a lovely series of art appreciation books. This one is a story of a little girl visiting Claude Monet in his old age while he is painting the water garden in a round. I have really enjoyed his entire series. There is one about Leonardo da Vinci, Van Gogh, Matisse, Degas, and Picasso.

I have always enjoyed these Anholt books. It is a great way to introduce art appreciation. There are several other series of picture books with art appreciation themes. I've been working on compiling a major art study resource list. Maybe one of these days I'll actually get it done.
