Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

For awhile now I've been very discontented with how our homeschooling was going. Things were such a far cry from how I used to envision our homeschool would be. For the past 3 years we have used CHC exactly as the lesson plans go. While I LOVE CHC materials, this started to become much more of a 'school at home' approach than what I wanted. SOOOO, I've ordered FIAR for my 5 and 7 year olds for next year, and I ordered Cays Catholic Mosaic. I'm not sure what I'll do with my 9 and 11 year olds just yet, but, I feel I've made a step in the right direction!!!   So, I'm excited!!

That's great Lisbet!!! It's so nice to have that feeling, it's very liberating and great for building confidence going into a new school year!! Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm, it's catching!!

We've used FIAR and Beyond FIAR all along taking lots of rabbit trails. Our kids have learned so much.

We only deviated last year and we did not have as good a year . We're back to Beyond and adding Catholic Mosaic in and can't wait!

That sounds great! I am sure you are going to have a wonderful year! It would be so much fun to let your 9 and 11 dc do FIAR and Catholic Mosaic along with the youngers, just adding some higher level work for them to do.
Have fun!!!
