oh I like this.. it usually takes me until Thursday to realize I had a Wednesday anyway.
Big things happening this week and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.
My sister and her youngest are moving, her dh and oldest will be staying with us for about a month starting at the end of the month for him to finish out school/baseball here.
Found out mom is going in for back surgery a week from Monday. Right when we'll be starting the final push to mover her and my sister's family out of their house.. not that we'd have let her do too much heavy work anyway but now she's going to have to be banned from being over there or she'll do to much.
I will be taking her to the bigger city and picking her up from the hospital.. so add that to my week.
I have a 13th birthday party and a double confirmation party this weekend and then next.
And in all our spare time we need to do the paperwork and get an appraisal and see if we can get an addition on our house. And the clean up for the appraisal nicely doubles up with cleaning things out for having 3 extra people in my already too small house.
I think the news about my mom's surgery tipped me over the edge. I was holding on and managing pretty well.. but since hearing that news this morning I've been feeling on the verge of tears when I'm not concentrating as hard as I can to get things done quickly.
And my dh is gone until late tonight.

I'm having a horrible week! I feel like a big pool of failure muck! Working through it, but really lack support so it is slow going. Hormones are not helping and neither is this terrible spring allergy attack! Quiet house this evening is a help and we may be kid free over the weekend. I think I could use that. My oldest has a well visit with the doc tomorrow and I think we will go out for coffee afterwards for some time with just the two of us. Maybe this is much needed too.

It's a zany week here. 8 days to go...the big Irish dance show is almost here. And, like clockwork, Dancing Daughter is ill. Please pray for healing for her!
The highlight of my week was definitely Fr. Emil Kapaun's Medal of Honor ceremony. No, I did not attend (it was a small ceremony at the White House), but I have known about Father Kapaun's heroism and cause for sainthood for quite a while.
I hope you will join me in praying for his canonization cause.
This article explains it all.
Please pray for all those looking for gainful employment, for peace on the Korean peninsula and for all those whose ordinations draw near...our holy priests and deacons! (And if you could say a special prayer for our friend, Mark, who will be ordained to the diaconate next month, I know he'd appreciate it.)
Cassie, we're with you on the allergies. Spring has been so late in arriving that now everything is blooming at once.

I'm back to my exercising, so that has been wonderful. As I continue to hold the kids to their responsibilities, they are really testing me. So, it's been very challenging to not lose my temper and keep it going. DH has been gone a lot, so that adds to the stress.
I signed the three oldest up for swim team. T get them ready to start in May, I've been taking them to an indoor pool during the week. Still trying to get a good routine.
I went to Sears yesterday to buy a new Lands End bathing suit (they're 25% off) and I was down to my pre preg size! SWEET!
Off to try to be patient! St. Monica, pray for us.

Jenn, I've started exercising too! Feel so much healthier and already a little fitter.
We're off to a wedding next week and I've walked the town looking for a silver bolero jacket, not one to be seen, obviously boleros are not in this year. But... there was the most awesome scarf that was perfect and I've just been googling and it is quite easy to turn a scarf into a bolero, sending dh to the shop in his lunch break to pick up scarf for me.
