I hope you've been enjoyng yourselves!
Happy 2013 all! What are you hoping for, by the will and grace of God, this year?
In this blog post, Worth doing I wrote about God Love and where I'm heading and how I hope to get there IRL and online. One of the things I especially love about this board is that I find it easy, comfortable, to share The Real Me.
I'm looking forward to my daughter Devin's wedding in June. I might have a dress!
Aiden's baseball is heating up! (As some of you noticed me posting about here earlier today.) I'm really proud of him and enjoy watching his life unfold.
I hope to travel with Dave, not sure where.
Throw in the other boys playing baseball and that about covers it!
Oh, and while I was sick these last few days, I watched 2 seasons of Downton Abbey. I'm ready for Sunday!
May God bless us all and give us the strength to do His will come whatever .
Love,

Love the worth doing blog post! I struggle with keeping my personal and family "goals" fresh and staying on track. I'm thinking about writing them down to review each week to help keep us on track. Seems like we (or is it just I) keep making decisions that don't keep us on track and after the fact I don't know why I couldn't see before hand that this wouldn't help to keep us on track. Yet, sitting down and putting on paper these "goals" is intimidating. I'd have no excuse for mistakes made once this is done as long as I'm always reviewing them. That is scary!
Lots of Downton Abbey here too. I rang in the New Year with an ear infection. Hit me about 5 pm and I some how made it to 9 am when extended care opened. Still tired though and tired of being tired. The ringing in my ears is driving me crazy too. How do kids manage these things without much complaining? Plus a dry hacky cough and drainage from a cold and I'm not having a good week.
Back to school next week!

Thanks Cassie! I hope to iron out some ways to hold ourselves accountable to our goals for 2013. I'm trying to be more creative!

Our new year began in the happiest way possible, with a successful visit with our nieces and their dad, my BIL. They seemed to have fun while they were here and we really enjoyed getting to know them better - it's been 4 years since we've seen them.
Dancing Daughter is fighting off a sinus infection, and feels pretty miserable, which is not such a good thing because she has a show next weekend and people are emailing us right and left asking if she can help them practice their steps. If you could spare a prayer for her recovery, we would appreciate it.
#1 Son endured the girly onslaught (I'm with him, those Monster High dolls are not my cup of tea) and made it back to the Hoosier Heartland, where he is now pushing snow off his car and getting ready for the new semester. We really enjoyed having him home.
One of my goals for the new year is to find better ways to reduce the stress of our crazy lives - my husband's endless travel, a zillion dance practices per week and my writing deadlines tend to get cycled up into useless drama, and we don't need that! I worked hard to stay call over Christmas and the girls' visit and was reasonably successful. Now I need to find ways to keep that calmness going.

Has it been 4 years already? Oh my, Nancy, I'm so happy the visit went well . And many prayers for your intentions!

Thank you, Angie!
Yes, my SIL passed away four years ago December 22.
If anyone wants to know whether God hears our prayers and grants miracles, just send them my way. In addition to our own family story, I can share other stories, because Our Lord has answered my friends' prayers as well as my own.
Be persistent in prayer, as Our Lord tells us in the Gospels. He will hear our prayers and answer them in His time. He will never, ever forsake you.
