I have a gift certificate for a local bookstore and am planning to have them place a special order with Neumann Press for a few children's books. We love traditional books and are looking to expand our collection.
We already have
the Angel Food set
the Catholic Stories for Boys and Girls set
the Msgr. Benson set
Their Hearts are His Garden
I Belong to God
and Jesus and Mary
Which ones from theirChildren's Section would you particularly recommend? I was thinking of getting Saints for Boys and Saints for Girls, but I don't have any opportunity to see them in person, so I would love some recommendations! Right now my children are 5, 4, 2, and 1, but I don't mind buying for when they're older.
Thank you!!

I just purchased "I Believe" and "Manners in God's House" and am very impressed with both of them.

Your dc are young like mine, I've been buying books for their age range. We bought "Delightful Stories for Children" (very sweet, using as a reader for my 3rd grader) and I'm giving "Whales and Snails and Heavenly Tails" a try (very colorful, it's meant as an advanced phonics reader, I'm using it with my 1st grader).
I also purchased the ones Krista mentioned, we'll be using those this year too.

Thanks, Jenny and Krista, for the suggestions. I appreciate the reviews! Manners in God's House sounds like it would be good for the coming year...I only wish I could buy them all!

Oh, Celeste - I'm sorry I missed your thread at first! Manners in God's House will be great if that's what you go with! I'd also really recommend I Believe since it doesn't look like you have that one.
I know what you mean - the Neumann Press books really take a bite out of your budget! It has taken me YEARS to collect the ones I have, and I still don't have them all.
You have a great little collection started. The Saints for Boys and Girls books look really good, though I haven't seen them either. They seem like a good fit for your age grouping. I've been considering those, too!
