Dear Ladies,
There is a concern that the 5 month old may have a form of meningitis. Please continue your most ardent prayers.
God bless each of you,

Dear Ladies,
At the moment there is no update on the 5 month old with possible meningitis. Your ardent prayers and responses have been very generous.
God bless each of you,

Hello dear Ladies,
This is the update from the Dad earlier today. Please if you can continue your prayers it would be most helpful.
God bless,
Jmtg

......he is now out of quarantine, hopefully they will be released tomorrow.
No word on what exactly it was-most likely viral meningitis, possibly introduced through his feeding tube.
Apparently those things let more than just food move in, and let stuff grow in them.
We are now trying to get him off the tube as quickly as possible.<<<<<<<<<<<

Dear Ladies,
The baby is home from the hospital! Thank you so much for your endless prayers which helped this family tremendously. The following is his Mom's description of the latest news.
God bless each of you,
Jmtg
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Baby and I are glad to be home from the hospital. Praise God!
It was suspected that he had meningitis but it turns out the lab cultures showed he did NOT have either viral or bacterial meningitis.
The doctors didn't really have an explanation for what he had then other than a bad head cold/flu with a fever and the swelling of the soft spot on the top of his head.
Our big prayer request now is that we can get him off the feeding tube and we can get him the calories he needs through breastfeeding, a sippy cup, and/or solids.
In our researching of meningitis someone turned us on to a research study done in NICUs showing the correlation between feeding tubes and acquiring meningitis. Yikes!>>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>
