Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Rain, rain, rain, and more rain dropped the temps into the 70's. Dh was hungry for chicken/sausage gumbo and came home from work and started fixing it...with some stewed okra from the garden...and whole eggs.

I baked a bread pudding (Oma's recipe).

And dh and I also went out to the garden and picked some more eggplant and squash. We're trying out our new steamer.

Leftovers...pretty good ones .

Mary Chris, I'm still on the hunt for a better French Dip recipe. I put a London Broil in the slow cooker with onioin soup mix...too dry and off texture. Thankfully, my boys ate it up!

Love,

We had chicken and dumplings. It was a bit cold and rainy here as well. Bread pudding sounds great, Cay.
