Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We left off here. Sunshine and Rocky have transitioned home. Our family will be offering a Novena in Honor of St. John Bosco for their intentions. Thank you for joining us or for offering other special prayers on their behalf.

If you could also offer up a quick prayer for our family. This is a bitter-sweet time. Thank you again for your ongoing support.

Love,

Thank you, Anne, Carol, Mimi, Jennifer, Susan, and all who are praying. Since this is our first time fostering and transitioning children home, we're surprised by the intensity of emotion...we're staying busy trying to get our home and routine going again...getting some rest .

Could you all pray that our family can discern well and quickly what we are to do next? Thanks.

Praying for your intentions!

Love,

Wow hon, we are praying!
My aunt used to be a foster parent for newborns before they were adopted. She took them home from the hospital and worked with a Catholic agency until they were either taken home by their birth mom or adopted by 3 mos. They kept a picture of each child and in their hearts, they have always been "children of the heart". I know it takes such heroic love to do this...God bless you for all you have done for these precious children!
{{{{HUGS}}}}
I will offer up some extra-special prayers for you tonight!!

Exactly! Thanks for giving me more words to try to describe our feelings, Donna Marie . We are also calling this a spiritual adoption .   Thank you for your prayers.

Love,

Dear Angie,

Having sent a little one to a birth parent as well, I understand the intensity and variety of emotions. I will continue to keep you, your family, and these children in my prayers.

Right after we sent a little one home after a year, a wise friend told me that no matter what happened in that child's life, he would always know deep within his soul, that even if it was for just a moment, he was loved completely and unconditionally by another human being. These words continue to sustain me as I pray for him.

You have provided your children with this spark of knowledge in their soul that they are loved and worthy of being loved.

May God grant you peace,

Waverley

Waverly, it really is a privilege, isn't it ? God bless you for your year of loving care...and God bless the child of your heart. Thank you for sharing with me and for your prayers. Thank you Jody, Booksnbabes, and Chari. Our family talked over the matter last night and we're ready to offer our care again...we're just not sure about some details. Thank you for continuing to pray!

Love,

Praying for your little foster children's intentions w/ you, Angie.

I have no doubt you showed them a beautiful witness of a loving, caring "mother."

Well done, good and faith servant.

Oh, Waverly, that is so beautiful. May I please share it with two local friends who have just started on this journey?

Oh, Cay ...after waving goodbye in front of our home as the children drove away with their CPS worker, my four children and I walked into the house, we all burst into tears and I turned to them and blurted out, "Well done, good and faithful servants!" Thanks so much for your sensitivity and support, Cay .

Love,

I agree, being a foster family has been a true blessing for our family. I feel honored and indeed privileged to have the opportunity to care for some of God's most vulnerable children. I often tell people we have received more than we have given.
