What are you planning for today ( or tomorrow if you are on a different time frame to me? ).
I love hearing about people's days!
I'm off to do some baking today with my 12 year old for "school" - we have one or two friars from our church come for lunch most Wednesdays. Also having a free makeup makeover at Estee Lauder today - should be interesting as I usually wear minimalist makeup! Yesterday, I went to the hairdresser and had some colour put in my hair - I tend to do this every six weeks or so...for fun! lol!
Two sons have part time work, one is researching the Bureau of Statistics for info re expected growth for our parish - for me, for our Parish Council meeting tonight, and another is researching Nelson Mandela/Martin Luther King /Greig - as a follow up to recent discussions..
We have the start of the Masses and Novena to St Anthony of Padua at our parish this evening, too...

This morning we stayed in our pjs until 10 AM. Slept late and lounged around.
Afternoon was spent at the library for storytime & arts & crafts.
The we ate fruit and cheese in the car on the way over the bridge to see our seminarian friend Matthew who was assigned a summer postion at the college campus' Newman Center. It gave us a reason to go check out the center, meet and talk to the deacon and the new priest there, and walk in a beautiful backyard garden complete with graveled walkway, flowers, plants, running fountains, and a hot tub. I have so many ideas of what I want my side yard to look like. My dh will be thrilled.
We visited then went to the prayer service.
After that we headed home and the girls ran off to the neighbors' and I sat down to check email and more.
Dh will be coming home shortly so my time is about up.

Well, today is my youngest child's sixth birthday. So we are doing Birthday Stuff - cake, and presents, and just playing, and even watching mindless television (SpongeBob. blech. stupid but pretty harmless.)

Tomorrow I have some baking to do with the kids for breakfast. Then I want to take a pic and record my weight so I can start my post baby weight loss plan. And I'm going to do another section of Postnatal Taebo before school so I can finally go blog about it. It's really fun and gentle!
We have a short day of table time since our school year is slowing down. Some officially end with tests tomorrow so I have to get those printed. Naps all around in the afternoon as there was a lot of crying over little things today, so I'll sneak in some reading during the quiet.
In the evening we have a little league playoff and prep for our baggie ice cream party Thurs.
And maybe I'll put away snow clothes to make room for pool clothes.
And as much as possible, I'll smile at the baby.
What I always love to know is what are you cooking for dinner? I think we're having good leftovers. God bless the neighbor who brought a post-baby dinner even though he is 2 months old!

I keep trying to do this. The snow clothes keep reemerging as something else... did you know that ski gloves also work great as garden gloves? That's what my 3 and 5 yo think???
As for what my day looks like...I have atypical days this week!! This is my one week that I spend 9:30 - noon with GIRLS!! I run a little singing camp where we sing chant, hymns, campfire songs and broadway songs for a couple of hours. The week ends with a little mini show for the parents. My dh watches my ohters boys in the morning, while Phillie and I "go to camp."
Today we learned chant mass parts, several folk songs (Goober Peas, By the Light of the Silvery Moon to name a few), many rounds to demonstrate how to make simple harmony, and some Broadway tunes: Consider Yourself, Getting to Know You, and with the help of a karaoke type CDs because my voice is hoarse... we sang and came up with movement to "Maybe" from Annie.
I thoroughly enjoy my "pink" week every year ... and then at the end of the week -- I'm delighted that I am a mother of boys. It's much simpler life.
Then after camp today, I got to meet KC from Texas IRL with her dh and kids... with JennGM and Mary Chris!! It was great fun!
I am going to crash into bed after another dose of hot water, honey and lemon.

Here's my schedule for 6/4:
AM: oldest dd to Girl Scout project; 15yodd getting picked up to see Pride and Prejudice (play) and then out to lunch and discussion of the show; me-midwife appointment and will probably take my 2yodd. I hope to get some school done but I doubt it. The most important will be storytime and crafttime with my 5yodd, she's been feeling left out lately with all the activity going on.
Afternoon: 3 girls are in a play that a friend is directing. plan meals, clean out fridge, make shopping list.
Evening: Take oldest dd to the city where she is working backstage at La Boheme. Pick her up at 11 pm!!! I take it easy at night, so I'm able to pick her up.
Dinner on Weds. are always leftovers since I shop on Thursday. I use that time to clean the fridge out also.
I hate bringing home new food and find I didn't need something since it got shoved in the back of the fridge!
God bless,
Mary-NY

I cleaned and purged the school room all day today. I am wiped out, so I plan to take it a bit easier tomorrow.
The only scheduled item I have for tomorrow is to take dd to swim team practice, and bring both kids home from practice. Dh takes ds to early practice; dd starts when ds finishes. Ds and I read together or next to each other for the hour we wait for sissy.
I should finish packing away the last twenty pounds of chicken. I have a few things left to pull out of the school room, then I need to figure out what room is next on the list.
Decluttering is hard, but really rewarding when it's done.

Me too!
In fact my entire house looks like a bomb exploded in it. I do this every year. It looks awful for a week, but it is so much easier to plan in fresh digs! So, the rest of my week will be more of the same. I'm almost done in the school room. I finished loading my new picture book shelf. Tomorrow, I'll reload the relocated literature shelves and hopefully empty and re-organize my school room supply cabinet. Then...on to the upstairs where most of the stuff that is now homeless is residing.
Can't wait to be done and get to the fun planning stage. The only interruption to my week of cleaning and reorganizing bliss - my 11yo has to have 3 teeth pulled this Thursday.

Hey, graphing - that's Maths.
Glad you like the Postnatal Taebo - I think it is also good for beginners, or for those post surgery ( like me...when I get the doctor's okay...).

For tomorrow (now today - 6/4) we are just waiting to hear from Mary G. and see if we can get the kids together - maybe a museum or swimming if the G.'s can't come over. Then we are having her and her family over for a going away last dinner with our family. (Can you tell I'm sad?) We'll finish the evening with the 8 year old's baseball game.

Well, before I can call MaryM (after all it is only 5:20 here!), I have to take 16yod to airport so she can visit friends and not have to drive cross-country with her younger siblings (a teen in a minivan with 9,8 and 5 yo for 3 days ... !)
Then back home to pick up kids for Mass and car washing, Bookies, and Barnes & Noble to pick up treats for the said-road trip than getting the kids together with MaryM's and over there for dinner ....
Full day -- in between we have carpet-cleaners/window washers coming, finishing up last minute packing, and cleaning !

Wow! You all have fun days! (except maybe the dentist one...lol)
I just dropped my oldest son off at Orchestra practice. My youngest is chasing his Grandpa around the yard. Later it's play with the kids and...clean.

Responding to my own post....it's raining, and my kids decided against swim team. So, we're on to Plan B, which is to head to a homeschooling friend's house. Our boys haven't seen each other in quite a while (since my boy went to school), so we need to get them together. Or so they tell us.
I also have to say ... I love having my son home.
