Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

...please pray for me. I have to go have some minor dental work done, but my teeth are very sensitive right now thanks to my sinuses and the crazy weather we have had lately. Also, the numbing medicine sometimes triggers a minor panic attack in people with anxiety disorders (read: ME!) so I would appreciate any extra prayers I can get. Nothing serious, just not fun!

Praying! I didn't know the numbing meds could trigger panic attacks - maybe that's wha happened to me last time? I'm usually fine with dental work.

Praying that it all goes quickly and well.

Oh, Matilda, if you EVER need dental prayers, I am only too happy to pray! This is an issue that is close to my heart.

Peace,
Nancy

Thank you for all your prayers! I am home now and just a little sore with a slight headache (probably tension). Our dentist is fabulous (and my oldest son's godfather) so all of the anxiety comes from me and me alone.

Amy,
I wouldn't have known if I hadn't been so comfortable with my dentist to discuss my anxiety issues. He said that the medicine they use for regular patients contains epinephrine which stimulates the heart so that the medication lasts longer (I think that is what he said). Well, that stimulation feels a lot like a panic attack to me so my brain complies with my body. Does that make sense? This time, he used the medication without the epinephrine that he uses for elderly patients or patients with heart problems. It won't last as long as the other stuff, but it was fine for just having some fillings worked on. I didn't experience anything but a normal amount of anxiety and not even a hint of a panic attack. I am sure some of that was because of all the prayers! Thanks again!

I prayed for you, matilda! Close to my heart.....or teeth nerves , too!

I have had many reactions to the epinephrine..........it is creepy. The new stuff is less effect. I SO know what you are talking about! Shudder.

Could I ask for more prayers today if you get a chance? As always, with my anxiety disorder, I pay for the stresses of yesterday today. I know it will "wear off" so to speak in a few days, but in the meantime, I feel like all of the good work I did yesterday staying calm and positive was just wiped away when I couldn't sleep last night and woke up with obsessive thoughts this morning. Thanks!

Praying for you, Matilda! Have you ever tried Rescue Remedy for this kind of a day? I wonder if it would help.

Matilda, my sister (Jenn Sal) and I are praying for you. She also needs to not take epinephrine - found out the hard way through taking it and having a very bad reaction .

I'm going to post a link to this prayer request over at the Good Rememdy forum. This could be very helpful information for others. Thank you and my prayers continue for you.

Love,
