I had to go to 3 Michael's to get the houses. Our homeschool group will be making these houses for one of our Advent craft activities. I ended up with only 6. I tried looking on line but the manufacturer didn't even have this item on their website.

I found the house on ebay for very little money. The cubes and the miniature nativity figures I found at our local Hobby Lobby. I got all my ideas from all of you and with the help of my oldest put it all together.
We, too, were well pleased!

we hang ornaments on our tree.

But I love to look at the pictures each year, and they inspire me to be on the look out for a house...

And wanted to mention that I found another source for little shadowbox houses that are affordable this year. Those unfinished craft houses we all used in 2007, weren't available a few years after and haven't been since. Our local support group wanted to make them this year and we did find these. They are smaller than the ones most folks used in the original but they are really cute - especially with the scalloped roof. We had some brave souls glitter theirs and it looks like snow. We had our MNO craft party to decorate them last night. Here is a sample.

Very nice, Mary! I still have my house unfinished, because I'm bothered by the lack of symmetry. I will come up with something some year!
