My doctor had my blood tested about a month ago to find that: I am not pre-menopausal, I haven't built up antibodies that are killing the babies off, and there's some other incredibly long word  that I do not have. Following this, I was referred by my doctor to a study, but just called today to find out I don't qualify. The mean they were looking for was no more than 5 pregnancies total with 2 miscarriages. I had 10 total with 3 miscarriages. Anyway, the lady told me what the study was about and recommended that, with my doctor's advice, maybe I should try it. Guess what it is? Taking baby aspirin from conception through the 36th week. I remember some of you who had done this or had friends do it with success. We are at once excited and apprehensive. I want so badly for this to work, but if it doesn't ...  . I would love some reassurance that this is the right thing to do. Presently, the only alternative seems to be NFP.

Why do they think this particular treatment might work? I would love to reassure you, but it's hard to form an opinion knowing nothing about the treatment. I think if you want more children, though, and your doctor thinks this might be a good way to get them to term, it would certainly be worth a try.
I'll say a prayer for your discernment. God bless you for your willingness to be open to life after three sad losses. I can't imagine how hard that must be.

Well, I know after I had a couple of miscarriages, my doctor recommended I take them to thin my blood. He said it was a bit on the "thick" side, and said there might be a connection between that and miscarriages. It seemed to work. I had two more children after that!!

This was the advice I got for this pregnancy, following my third miscarriage. However, I think my problems with the losses was probably due to the chromosomal translocation that a previous doctor speculated about (and that we have absolutely no control over). Is this one of the things that was brought up about your losses? Have your losses been consecutive, or were your other children interspersed? (This is how it was for me).
While I did go out and purchase the baby aspirin, I actually didn't take it. I don't know why, I just didn't do it. It definitely wouldn't hurt to try it, but at the same time, I understand not wanting to give yourself false hope.

i took a baby aspirin a day during the pregnancies of my last 2 children. i miscarried a baby prior to them and the autopsy indicated the baby had formed blood clots, the aspirin helps to thin the blood.

I guess I'm a couple of weeks late in finding this, but wanted to add my two cents. I've had 11 pregnancies and 3 live births. The docs have not found a solid explanation for me as to why. They did try me out with the baby aspirin after the third loss. I took the aspirin every day for a few years and still continued to miscarry. They even added lovenox (another blood thinner) on top of that. For me, the blood thinners just aggravated the problem. Finally, I had a doctor tell me to get off the aspirin immediately. He also prescribed mega doses of folic acid. I became pregnant soon after that, and went on to deliver my little miracle last Feb. Everyone is different, there are so many factors that can play into this stuff. I've had more blood tests than I can count. That being said, there are just as many people who take the aspirin and it does the trick. I hope this is the case for you!

When I went for a workup at the Reproductive Endocrinologist to find out why I was infertile, they found not only the main cause, PCOS, but that I have a genetic blood-clotting disorder called Factor V (five) Leiden. So they started me on a baby aspirin daily, and when I finally got pregnant, I also had to take blood thinner shots, heparin, twice a day for the whole 9 months. It worked--had a healthy baby! If I ever manage to get pregnant again, every future pregnancy will also have to have blood thinners.
