(I just read this prayer request at CCM. I'm posting it here so that we can pray and also in the hope that someone may have a connection to this rare disease to share with Amy. I will forward this link to her and thank you for praying for Amy and her family. Love, Angie Mc.)

Hi All--
Today I received word the tumor in my breast is
an angio sarcoma- a rare and supposedly mean
cancer that grows out of blood vessels. It is not
breast cancer, it is a kind of cancer that reared
its ugly head in my breast. I am scheduled for
surgery next Thursday and then begin the CT scans
to look for other tumors in my body.
Our children once again are Madeline, a
gentle-spirited 5 year old who loves
ballet...Samuel, our all-American boy who will be
4 in January who wants to be a hockey player, a
priest and a daddy (!)...Ava, our little ray of
sunshine, a real live-wire and little sack of
sugar...and Anna my 4 month old beautiful bundle
of pink joy. My husband's name is Phil, and he
is flying home tonight to be with us.
Unfortunately, his job has him out of town a lot,
and he wasn't here today when I got the news.
I know this season is a time of joy and fun for
many, but this year it will be rough at our
house. Please keep us all in your
prayers...especially my Madeline who is old
enough to understand and be afraid, and little
Anna, who is so young and may need to be weaned.
(A final kick to to the gut was that they
recommended I immediately stop nursing). I know
that is not the end of the world, but nursing and
extended nursing are very important to my husband
and I.
