Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Do you watch instantly on Netflix? What have you been watching?

We finished watching Michael Palin's Around the World in 80 days

We also watched a couple of episodes from the Twilight Zone. I have never watched any of these. They were fun but some of my kids found them "creepy".

My kids what the old Shall We Dance

What about you?

Love that Michale Palin!
We have been watching a bunch of Shakespeare, Blue Planet, and Survivorman, among others.
I just LOVE this feature!

Mighty Machines? The boys LOVE it, and they call it Mah'sheh because of the way they hear the man singing the opening song. It sounds French or like some sort of exotic genre of film or food...and its so not, lol.

Actually, dh and I recent finished watching Lost. So addictive.

I highly recommend Bleak House if you haven't seen it. I noticed it is available for instant viewing, and it was one of the best mini-series, really!

Murder She Wrote and Columbo are my dad-just-took-the-boys-to-Home-Depot-and-I-have-a-mountain-o f-laundry-to-fold go tos.

Dick van Dyke is my its-been-raining-for-days-and-I-really-want-to-watch-somethi ng-adult-but-it-needs-to-entertain-the-children-too go to. I pick and choose the episodes (I avoid the ones about jealousy, etc...), but the boys love the physical comedy, and there isn't any language or anything.

There is one episode about a former boyfriend of Laura's that Rob meets playing golf who turns out to be a priest! It is so well done and makes one realize just how far away from that respect for religion that we've come on modern television (it is funny, too).

We just discovered Mighty Machines--the kids love it. We love Blue Planet, Life of Mammals, Life of Birds (anything with David Attenborough!), All creatures great and small (James Herriot stories). Lots of TV shows to catch up on, too.

We watched season 4 of Lost in about a week!
I didn't realiza all those educational things were available for instant viewing. I was about t increase our number of rentals to be able to get more educational videos without cutting into our regular queue. Thanks!

Since I am out of commission today with a pulled neck muscle, during the kids' rest time, I watched a movie called All About Us. It was a little slow at times, but in a nice indie film kind of way and very sweet. Just hang in there until the end!

Well, we don't normally watch much of anything and got Netflix so we could get some of the saints videos with out having to spend a fortune for variety -- and I got hooked on Adam -12. We watched all 7 seasons - dh and I watched all of them, we let the children watch some of them. We must have watched too many as the 7 year old started shouting the basic hands up, spread your feet lines in his sleep.

We're all caught up on "The Office" and we're still working our way through "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" episodes from Seasons 1 and 2...

(My boys watched all the Mighty Machines last spring?)

One warning: keep an eye on your queue b/c sometimes a movie will suddenly be "Available Until..."and then it's gone.      We missed watching "Come To The Stable" because we weren't paying attention.

Oh my fav thing is that I can watch current shows a lot of the time the next day after they aired on tv. Currently this is what I do for Heroes bc it's on at 7 pm and I'm not able to ever sit and watch tv that early in the evening. I need to put desperate housewives too. I haven't had the chances to watch a single episode from this season.

We just got Netflix last week and are suddenly watching WAY too much TV.

We watched a cute movie called Spooky House - no language, no violence (which caught our attention in the review) - some bad attitude teens but the overall story, while cheesy at the beginning, turns out nicely.

The other day we watched The Secret in the Cave - a very nice little story with a Christian theme, no language, etc. set in Ireland.

other than that, um, Spongebob

We actually just got Around the World in 80 Days in the mail on disk and watched it last night, but it wasn't that one or even close to what I expected, having read the novel last year. It's one with Jackie Chan as Passepartout, and while it was mildly entertaining, there was SO much added to the story just to showcase Chan in his kung fu! I had no idea!

we love chan, but yeah it's not quite what we had in mind either!

We watched Keys to the Kingdom (Gregory peck) on disk yesterday and it was a 5 star for all of us. Loved it!

I just rediscovered this handy-dandy site that I'd forgotten about. It has all the movies that are available for instantwatching on Netflix in a more easily browsable format as well as the dates for how long they will be available.

Still no category for Christmas, sadly.

I've really been enjoying the Sherlock Holmes BBC episodes with Jeremy Brett.
