Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I don't know many that cover the whole gamut. I'd only have bits and pieces, like books by Gennady Spirin, Brian Wildsmith, and Pauline Baynes...

I was going to say what Jenn said - nothing that I know of that is the whole thing, but you definitely can find picture books that cover different OT figures that are a piece of Salvation history at a time. Would you like recommendations on those? We could start compiling a list here since we really don't have that yet.

Though not comprehensive, The Ballad of Matthew's Begats offers such a fun way to learn the lineage of Jesus.

The book comes with a cd- the song is the story of all Jesus's ancestors. Very catchy tune... my ds is listening to it over and over right now, and it has really sparked our interest to learn more about some of the OT fathers.

Matilda (Charlotte) talked abou it here

I picked up a bargain copy from Christianbooks.com this summer, and I am really glad I did.

I don't know of a single book, either, but the list below, that we used when studying the ancient world, hits a lot of the high points. Plus they are beautiful, beautiful books - some of my all-time favorites.

Gilgamesh the King (Zeman)
The Revenge of Ishtar (Zeman)

While working on this project I found the book The Loving Arms of God and remembered this thread.

I don't know if you're looking for a specific age.

We have two copies of God's Love Story from CHC - Kindergarten. One my son colored in, the other we left uncolored - both have their advantages; one was a meditation in the moment; and the other is fresh for later reading without the distraction of "oh I wish I'd colored that different!"

It is a great introduction to the overarching plan of God.

God's Covenant With You coloring book
"Written by Scott Hahn, one of the most best-loved Catholic commentators on Holy Scipture and author of many popular books on the Bible, God’s Covenant with You draws children into the biblical stories through the beautiful coloring book drawings. The book is a simple approach to the Bible that communicates the Covenant and teaches the Catholic faith on many levels. " CHC sells it, but it's out of stock. Hillside has it in stock.
