I've been trying to find the National Gallery of Art website that Elizabeth talks about in her book but can't. The book has a website of www.nga.org. Where do I find the prints?
Thanks!

Amblesideonline sells prints of the artist they are studying each term but you can also purchase the prints from past artist. I purchase two set (Cassatt and Vermeer) and I am happy with them. They are printed in a 8x11/2 photo quality paper .

I have to . This is one of the most repeated question in this forum. I did a search and I think 8 threads popped up. Maybe there should be a sticky!
Anyway, here are the other threads that might help. Each is a little repeat of this information and other helpful nuggets of information: Where do you order your prints?
National Gallery of Art teaching resource
Where do you buy art prints?
Masterpiece Art Cards?[/ulr">
where to buy art prints . This thread directly answers your questions about NGA, and I'm posting the quote:

I sent an e-mail to the National Gallery of Art asking about the 11x14 prints. There is no cataolg, but you can request a listing of the prints available by title and artist:

If you follow through on the NGA lead, post your results, please!

It's a bit late for this now, but I found that buying calendars was a great way of getting an inexpensive collection of large prints. I covered Monet and Van Gogh that way. I'm kicking myself that I didn't pick up a Leonardo calendar when I saw one in the National Gallery in London. Doh!

I think I'll request the catalog and see what happens. I'll let you know.

I requested that catalog from NGA but never got it. I was disappointed. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get prints from them to no avail. I think I will go with calendars. Twelve big prints for $12-14 seems cheap (and much easier!)

Lisa,
You might check out your local public library. Last year, I discovered that our public library has a vast vertical file of 8x11 prints mounted on heavy cardstock arranged by artist. I can check them out for 2 weeks at a time. The best part is, it's free!
I didn't know about this resource until I asked about art prints in the Art & Music section of our public library. The prints are not in the computerized card catalog, so I have to actually go to the library and look through the file to find what I want. But I have access to more prints than I would ever buy this way.
Good luck!
Dawn
