OK........deep breath.........we just received our first call from CPS to care for a sibling set, 4y0 girl and 3yo boy. The current plan is reunification with mom in June. They will be here by noon today. ...just knowing that you all are holding us in prayer means the world to me.
REALLY praying for your intentions as I'm praying, praying, praying today.

So here's a prayer, edited for Angie:
Gracious and Loving God,
You are the Great Foster Parent,
When we were lost, orphaned, and alone,
You found a way to make us your children.
Thank You.
Each and every day, You “foster” us into being a people
who reflect your Spirit to the world.
Thank You.
Foster in Dave and Angie those qualities that You so richly pour out on us;
You are loving.
Help Dave and Angie to show unconditional love
to the children You have placed in their care.
You are patient.
Help Dave and Angie to be patient even when they despair
of seeing progress.
God,
You are kind.
Help Dave and Angie to always be full of kindness with a
gentle and firm hand.
Most of all, God,
You are faithful.
You never give up on them,
even when they blow it.
When they are hurting You are always there.
Help them to be like You;
May they never give up on your children.
God,
You showed how much You honor foster parents
by giving your only Son into the care of Mary and Joseph
who helped raise him to be the man You wished him to be.
Thank You.
And thank You for allowing Dave and Angie to be a part of helping children discover your purpose for their lives.
As Dave and Angie and these precious children come together today,
we look forward to the day when all
of your children will be safe, healthy, and
can truly live in that wonderful place
all of us long for,
that is known simply as “Home.”
Dear Blessed Mother, intercede for Angie, that she may be as gentle as you are.
Good St. Joseph, on the eve of your feast, wrap this family in your strong, protective arms. You are for them, and for us, the perfect model of a foster father. Pray for us all!
