We have been accepted by agency 3! We had a 2.5 hour meeting which began with a warm greeting, a description of what was in our file, direction on what needed to be finished, and questions about why we left the first agency and what we expected of their agency. Believe it or not, all the incorrect information we had removed from our file had been given verbally to agency 3 by the agency 1 case worker anyway  . But an even bigger believe it or not, our new case worker knows the original case worker and after hearing our side of the story, not only believed us, she also apologized for what we had been put through by the two other agencies! She said, "Leave it all behind. We're starting fresh today. Let's work to have you licensed by the end of October." God is SO Good! I had begged Him to help me know if we were on the right track "by the end of October" figuring that would be nine months since we started...nine months to get us ready to receive a child  .

Our case worker, M., is coming to our home today for our home interview between 1:00 and 5:00. Could you please pray for peace and cooperation as we prepare and that we present ourselves during the interview as God desires? If all goes well, per legal requirements, we should be licensed within 30 days. Deep breath!

Woooooo hooooooooooooo! It went off without a hitch  . We were having some good laughs together by the end of the visit so it ran late, ending at 6:00. I'm off to eat and drink something - 5 hours of chatting is too much even for me  - but I wanted to thank you all right away.

Oh, I'm so sorry I missed this earlier, Angie...but so happy all went well! What an enormous relief. I'll pray that her report reflects that and that licensing goes off without a hitch!
