Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I signed up for emails on this list a long time ago as I was pretty active with calligraphy projects B.C. (Before Children). This calligrapher gives detailed instructions on how to make the complicated Celtic Knotwork. The knotwork is so impressive, but easy to break down and a great geometric challenge.

Besides her tutorials, she also includes clip art, freeware, and other items on her site: Aon Celtic Art

Jenn:

Awesome site!

My 14 yod loves anything Celtic and spent much of the travel and down time this summer doing celtic knotwork on reams and reams of graph paper! Many of us were recipients of name tags with beautiful work...she's going to love this site.

Blessings

Jenn,
I'm glad you mentioned this thread again in another post. I'm teaching a co-op class on cultures and next week we are doing Ireland. I needed a craft idea and I think we will try our hand at some basic knotwork from the tutorial. I was looking for other sites and found this one - virtual knotwork. I think it is so amazing what they can do with computer programs. This was fun and since it's virtual even I could do it!
