Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The moderators and managers of 4REAL want to offer all of you our prayers before the boards close tonight.

In the wake of recent losses, all members have been made poignantly aware of the sacredness of life and the beautiful gift it is. Many here have suffered the loss of a child and carry this heavy cross. This community grieves for the loss of all who have lost children and suffered.

The collective pain of this community, already so deep right now after the loss of dear Matthew Karol Snow, is deepened even further at Mary Ellen and Dave Barrett's loss of Ryan.

Quite naturally the boards have been more quiet the past days as members take time and silence to grieve and offer prayers. Thank you for realizing that the current moment is not the best time for heavy topics or really involved questions.

So many of this community are walking in sorrow right now and standing at the Foot of the Cross with the Snow family, with the Barrett family, and with all those who have lost and feel pain. It is one of the dearest consolations of our faith that we can all stand together in sorrow and in joy, at the Foot of the Cross, offering back to the Creator together, and that Our Lord's immeasurable Sacrifice covers all and lifts our sacrifices to heaven so that we can stand in great Amen and wait in joyful hope!

As we head into the Sunday closure and celebration of the Lord's Day, please pray for the families who have suffered these recent losses and let us remember to hold our own families close. We are united in prayer especially during the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass this and every Sunday. May we all find consolation in Our Mother's Garden of Sorrow as well as in the collective offering of prayer.

Blessed Virgin Mary, assumed into heaven, pray for all those who are suffering.

I read this last night and I cannot begin to tell you how comforting it was. This past week has been dreadful.

Yes, thank you Jennifer. It is hard to know how one is supposed to react, and it is helpful to be reminded that others are reeling in a similar fashion.
