Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Likely most of you haven't missed me, but I haven't been visiting lately because I have been busy making Christmas gifts... I was having trouble getting it all done and visiting here!

My blog for pics!

This did not cost me much as I bought yarn at a local thrift store, for very little cost, I got a wonderful variety of colours and types of yarn.

Another benefit to me, was it helped me get through my morning sickness, and helped me relax! I highly recommend teaching yourself to crochet!

Rebecca -- first, yes you WERE missed.

Second, WOWWWWW! Those are great ... ALMOST makes me want to crochet again (but then I remember all those granny squares I used to make and I cring -- especially since I was using really tacky acrylic yarns in colors NOT found in nature ).

Lovely and so nice to be able to avoid MIC!

I noticed you were gone Rebecca, and was just wondering what happened the other day! So there!

I love your frugal idea to "make" more for Christmas! We're avoiding MIC too! I'm enjoying the simplicity it has forced, but I wish I had your's or Mary's talents for handwork! Well, nothing to do but learn now! I'm determined!

Thanks for sharing the pictures and the inspiration!

Rebecca! So happy to 'see' you around again! Those are GREAT!! Where did you find the banana pattern? So far I have made apples, fried eggs, and pizza slices. I'm lined up to do a few pairs and some carrots. (I may do the coffee cup after Christmas!) But I've not found a good banana pattern! All of those are great.

I saw a pic of a banana here, and thought it was cute, but we moved, and our computer was down, so I couldn't see a pattern... Here is the one I tried to sort of duplicate from memory:

Baby Banana

I thought it was so cute!

That is PERFECT Rebecca thank you! I have a slice of pizza to finish up and I think I will do the banana before the pears.
