Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This is great! Mary M. What a beautiful project!

My little boy was begging for a craft. He got himself busy being a bandit, but said to save this for later!!!

thanks!

I was wondering the same thing - it would be fun to see the different projects completed. They are always going to turn out different and have each child's individual touch. I for one would love to see families post results.

And I am so glad you had the materials - that's what I was going for. I wasn't sure about everyone having colored permanent markers on hand. But I generally consider those to be staples (just need to be kept up and used under supervision ). So for anyone who doesn't have a set I do recommend it. I was checking around and with the back-to-school sales, this is a really good time to get some Sharpies. This week they are on sale at Rite-Aid (buy one pack, get TWO free), Walgreens (individual pens-2/99 cents), Big Lots (8 Ct. pack with additional free 8 pack for only $7) and of course you can get the packs at Michael's or Hobby Lobby and use the 40% off coupons.

Sarah
Thank you for this idea, thank you so much, just what I need at this time.

Mary
What a great craft to start with, I'm off to bribe, um incentivise my dc with craft this afternoon.

Liz and Mary
Great idea, I'll try and do the activity today and post quickly. We could have adaptions so that will be interesting too. I know I will as I don't have watercolour paper.

So - do we post our finished projects on our own blogs, if we have them?

This is such a neat idea! I am hoping to get to the store tomorrow for sharpies!

Oh - how fun! this is just what I needed!

Well we did ours It sure didn't look as good as Mary's and my dc just had to experiment and try a few different 'colouring' ideas. It was so wonderful though to have finally kept my promise and do a craft activity. Thank you

Very excited about this. Of course since I'm hosting the next craft of the week, I had anxiety dreams all night last night about what to do!    When I woke up, I think the most recent idea in my dream world involved empty soup cans, gravel for the bottom of the aquarium and some string - not really sure what we were making with it though! I promise to have a better idea come Monday.

I saw Sharpie's yesterday at Target, a big pack of 24 fine tip for $15.99. I'm not sure if that is a good price or not but I took the plunge!

And now my dd12 LOVES me for buying Sharpies. Her love language is gifts , I feel sorry for her future dh .

Link your finished results here on this thread for this craft.

What I think I'll do is start a new thread for each craft labeling 1st craft, 2nd craft. . .

Then we can link our results under the matching thread.

Well done Mary M. I'm doing this on Friday! We CAN do this because it looks easy enough.
