Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anybody have an older child that they use the Montessori Method with? My ds will be 13 tomorrow (gasp!) and I have him enrolled with MODG. Meanwhile, I do mostly Montessori type things with my younger children. I'm wondering if anybody has successfully integrated the Montessori Method with a classical homeschooling method with older children.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, and it isn't classical, but I just blogged abgout a Montessori-like   biology project I am putting together for my ds age 11. It would also work for an older child.
If you are interested you can find it here.

This is GREAT Thersa!! Can my kids come to your house for Biology?? Well, I guess you're a little far away but I'll definitely use these ideas as we are into biology now too. I also wanted to say thanks for your blog. It has really been helpful for me - wonderful ideas you have!!
