I am trying to choose an online literature/ writing class for my ds 12. He is a very precocious and choleric child who is ready to be challenged. He did a literature only course with Center for Lit last year. (This year i would sign him up for the literature WITH the writing component) He enjoyed last year's class and I have been listening to their podcasts. I think they are absolutely terrific! My reluctance is twofold. First is that he is entering 7 grade and I feel I should have a better overall plan for middle school. Also, it is very expensive! I keep thinking that maybe Center for Lit would be more fun, but Kolbe might be better for an overall plan. Kolbe looks very impressive from the class descriptions. It is slightly less expensive. I would appreciate any input on literature writing programs!
