Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I finished our liturgical plans for August. Our focus is The Assumption - August 15th and the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. I made up some narration pages and included links to other pages I'm using for the notebook.

August 15th is also the feast of Saint Tarcisius - a great saint for first communicants.

August 16 in the New rite and August 17 in the old rite, is St. Hyacinth. I found some cute Hyacinth flowers to make.

I love the August saints (wow, summer is packed 'cuz July & June are great, too). Hope to get back to updating here while it is still early in the month (though biggies like St. Alphonus Ligouri, St. John Vianney and St. Dominic already passed with not mentioned here.)

Learned recently of the not currently commemorated August 1, feast of St. Peter in Chains or Lammas Day. Posted an idea to Catholic Cuisine - St. Peter in Chains feast day bread
