Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was wanting to share our news! Our country parish now has the Latin Mass on a daily and weekly basis for the next three months at least. All thanks to Summorum Pontificum and the graces of Our Blessed Lord.

There were road blocks and difficulties to overcome but Our Lord answered all prayers and on Divine Mercy Sunday he provided the most amazing miracle. Firstly however I best backtrack and explain a little, our biggest stumbling block was that no priest in the diocese knew how to say the Latin Mass anymore. But when we heard of a priest outside of the diocese who would be available for a time, we approached our Bishop. Who after prayer decided that he did not want a separate parish but the Latin Mass to be offered in an already existing parish. This was a problem, however my dear friend bravely asked our parish priest who by his own admission is very liberal and he astounded all by being most accepting and accommodating and generously offered his Church and accommodation on the spot.

Father C arrived two weeks ago and has been busy training servers, he is a wonderful teacher and my boys have already served at Masses. It is so amazing for my children (and us) to have constant contact with a priest who is so young and devout. We had him out for tea on Sunday night, the poor man had his ear chewed off by our over excited children.

I just wanted to share our story to give hope to those who really desire the Latin Mass that miracles can happen.

How wonderful Erin!

We have been lucky enough to now have the opportunity to attend one Latin Mass a month, hopefully with more to come.

I was amazed, as I assumed our Bishop wouldn't be interested. It's all very new to us, but I am enjoying the experience.

Erin! That's fantastic!

A boating neighbor brought a little red Latin Mass booklet for Marianna yesterday from his travels, I'm very excited to browse through it today.

That's wonderful! I've never been to a LM, I'd love to go. I think the nearest parish that offers them is an hour and a half away, though. :(
