Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

THE BEST all time book/symbol list is Geraldine McCaughrean's The Jesse Tree -- we made a sculpey set of these 2 years ago and they're still in great shape. Here's a link that shows pictures, etc from my blog post -- scroll down and see the picture of our tree. If you'd like I can send ou more photos of the "tree"....

There is this listing which is included at several locations (Catholic Culture, EWTN, Domestic Church) following the Messianic prophecies.

Below is what we have used and I've had it for many years. I focused on people rather than prophecies which overlap some (but we added a few other biblical figures), so it's not exactly like the traditional.

Adam & Eve - apple
Noah - ark
Abraham - stars
Isaac - bundle of sticks
Rebekah - pitcher
Jacob - ladder
Joseph - coat of many colros
Moses - burning bush
Ruth - wheat
David - sling shot
Solomon - temple
Judith - sword
Daniel - lion
Jesse - root
Joseph - carpenter tools
Mary - lily
Jesus - chi rho

We have Sculpey ornaments as well and they are shown in a picture on this post near the bottom. You can see most of them pretty well.

Many thanks MaryM, your ornaments look great

BTW what is the name of the print you use on your blog header? Who is the artist? If you all have not seen it, check it out, really beautiful!
