Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Funny, minutes after I agreed to Host this forum, I received this silly poem from a good friend:

Subject: de french robber

Did you hear about the guy in Paris who almost got away with stealing
several paintings from the Louvre?

After planning the crime, getting in and out past security, he was
captured only two blocks away when his Econoline van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an
obvious error, he replied: Monsieur, I had no Monet to buy Degas to make
the Van Gogh."

... and you thought I lacked De Gaulle to tell a story like that.

Yes, Chari. Well, technically, we live in Amherst, NY, a suburb of Buffalo, but Buffalo starts just down the street.

I lived in Buffalo my first 30 years, then Amherst the next 10. So to answer your question, yes, I've lived here all my life.
