Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a question about Teaching Textbooks. I am thinking of switching 3 of my children from Saxon to Teaching Textbooks. The problem is that they will all be on one computer. How much computer time is taken up by Teaching Textbook? Also, I will be teaching twins. Can I buy just one level for both of my boys? Thanks for the info!

I have 3 sharing 1 computer now. We are using math 7, and Math 5. I also have twins and use Math 5 on different screen names so it can be done. I think that an average lesson takes between 15-20 minutes. It may be shorter than that. I have not actually timed it however, everyone has no trouble switching from LA to math. In fact, they actually fight over who gets to go first, second, and so on.

I have two who use Teaching Textbook (Algebra I and Algebra II) and they share the computer. I am not certain of how much time they spend, but even if they go back and check how the problems are worked, we always manage to complete our math work by the end of the early morning. And we are converts from Saxon as well!

You should be able to buy just one level for both your boys as long as they are on the same level. We discussed this before but at the moment I don't have time to search the archives.

I would talk to the people at TT, they are VERY helpful!

Thanks so much for the info. I am leaving for a convention tomorrow morning so I will be able to look at TT display.
