Hey y'all -- for those who are using the new blogger (what was once called "Blogger Beta"), how do you get images on your template hotlinked to a website -- the only thing I can think to do is to post the picture (by adding the "page element") and then immediately placing a hotlink -- but it just seems like you should be able to do that.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a calendar graphic to place on my template -- a cool one would be if I could then click the date and go right to the readings? Anyone know of a freebie like that?

Does anyone know whether blogger allows you to create a private blog?
I was wanting to keep a daily journal of school stuff, the good and the bad and was hoping the visual would keep me motivated to keep better records.

Also I had thought of swapping my public blog over and wondered whether it is possible to copy and paste over from what i have already done. I'm currently with homeschooljournal.

Erin,

Yes, blogger allows you to create a private blog. You can even set it so that only certain people (such as family members) can read it. It's done by going to "permissions" in the settings area.

And, yes it is possible to copy and paste from homeschooljournal but I couldn't do that with the comments. A word of advice, though. Don't announce you're moving until you're ready to have you're blog deleted. I did, thinking I'd give myself a few weeks to transfer things over in the meantime, only to find my blog deleted!

I'd managed to transfer over some things but there were a few posts that I'd wanted to hold onto that are now gone forever.

Sorry, I don't know the answers to the other questions. Hope someone else does as I'm curious to know the answers myself!
