I have a flat top range. Can you use a double griddle pan on it? My poor husband searched everywhere to get me one for Christmas. The one he bought didn't work. Anyone have any suggestions? I would love both griddle and grill, but would settle for just the griddle. We need to make more than four pancakes at a time  !

what about an electric one? they heat much more evenly than any I've seen that go on the stove (there's always that cool spot between burners)

I put in on my stove or counter and can easily do a dozen regular pancakes, or a ton of silver dollar ones. I like the tilt feature so grease can run off when you cook bacon.
Just make sure you have a deep enough counter or stove, and somewhere to store it!

I have this one. Not sure if it's what your looking for, but I lay it across my flat top range (covers two burners)and I use it for pancakes, quesidillas (sp?) and tortillas. Works well, but I prefer my electric griddle too as I can get 6 pancakes on it at once as opposed to only 2.

I have the same thing Maddie has, and love it. I do make 6 pancakes on it though, but probably because they're little ones:)

I agree - go electric. My mother bought us the one that spans two burners but it warped and the batter runs. Also heats unevenly.
