We are very excited to announce that we've accepted the referral of a baby boy, born September 14, 2006 in Guatemala! He weighed 6 lbs at birth. He was in the NICU for 2 weeks, with neonatal pneumonia and sepsis, but is recovered and thriving. His name will be
Michael Murphy Schaaf and you can see pictures here.
We will travel to Guatemala City on Jan 18 to meet Michael, spend the weekend with him, and sign more papers. Hopefully he will be home with us in about 4 months.
Thank you for all your prayers. Please keep praying that we will have Michael home with us soon.

How precious - what a lot of dark hair. I'll be praying for a safe trip for the visit and a quick four months until he is able to come home.
