I hope this is the right place for this. I need help! I signed up for the free month at Typepad ($4.95 fee) and have gotten started (thanks to those of you who have stopped by to say Hi! But I can't figure out how to add info to my sidebars not to mention adding links. Must I upgrade in order to do the sidebar thing? Does anyone have a blogging for dummies manual?

Kelly, the sidebars are called Typelists. If you click on the Typelist tab (4th tab over from the left) it will bring you to the menu for setting up various lists. ("Create a New Typelist") You can name your list and choose the type. If you are looking to set up a book list, choose Reading. You can start adding books by getting the ISBN number (I look up books at Amazon to do this) and plugging it in. Notes will let you do just that - write in notes or lists. A Links list lets you make up a list of well, links!

To arrange the info. on your sidebars, go to Edit Design and choose Change Ordering. You can play with all your typelists there and get them in the order you'd like.

You can also check Change Content Selections and choose other Tyepad lists for your sidebars (such as a Calendar).

Oh, and to post photo albums, click on the Photo Albums tab and you can start uploading pics. Let me know if you need help doing that.

Thanks for your help, everyone I do believe I'll check our library for the Blogging for Dummies book and the archives here as well. I'm having fun with it but I know it must be easier than what I'm making it.
