What little things do you do for your husbands--just to say "I love you and appreciate all you do"?
My husband has a huge sweet tooth and a long ride to work, so I often pick up his favorite candy and put it in his car.
I also sometimes send email w/pics of the kids doing something or leave little notes on the counter.
A footrub for no reason once in a while.
It is my goal this year to do more little, loving things (but he doesn't know that--otherwise, I'm sure I'd have a list...) What do you do?

This is such a *great* idea for a thread, Joelle!
I would say that I am always nice to him, and I thank him for everything he does (which is a lot!) whenever I can.
I am looking forward to hearing what all you other mothers have to say. Joelle, your ideas are great!

It has ONLY taken me seven and a half years of marriage to figure out how much my emotions and reactions affect those of my husband (I'm a super-fast learner )If I am upset about something, he gets upset too - even if it didn't bother him at first. If I'm impatient with the kids, he's quicker to do so himself etc. etc. On the other hand, when my words and actions are gentle, positive and encouraging, he is uplifted and the worry lines on his forehead soften. He is always a remarkable husband and father, but my good attitude inspires him to further greatness.
So my resolution this year is to find that gentle voice (I used to have one, where did it go?) and be positive and encouraging instead of critical or disparaging. I have taken Proverbs 15:4 as my motto: A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Great topic! My dh doesn't mind a messy home or burnt food but he does like to enter a peaceful home. I try to make sure that happens.
I like to leave voice mail saying how great he is or forward an article to his home email. I am supportive of his drumming and his desire to get out with the guys occasionally. I also find that thanking him for the most normal, mundane job goes a long way.

My husband doesn't ask for much. The thing he likes the most is having fresh cold lemonade when he gets home. I try to make sure the jug is full when he gets home from work at night.
He also has a sweet tooth, so when go out town, I buy him candy and drop it off at the train station.
Now I'll tell you what he does for me. Every night after the kids are all in bed, he goes downstairs and makes us a warm snack, like bagel bites, eggrolls, etc. and brings me a glass of milk.
Great thread
God bless.

I try to have my husband's coffee ready for him before he gets up in the morning and before he gets home from work. With a newborn that will probably happen less, but he appreciates it.

Well, he doesn't know it, but with the little time off we've got this week with him at work, I'm working on putting Morning Prayer (and hopefully more, including readings from In Conversation with God and Evening Prayer) in audio format for his mp3 player. I know he would listen to it on his drive to work if he only had it. He doesn't have much time to pray with a book (i.e., the Office) in the morning, though he does get to Mass on his way to work.
I'm hoping to get Lent taken care of first, but we'll see how things go. I started today during naptime, and now I have made considerable headway, thanks be to God.
There are other things I do, but this was the one I thought of first.

My dh likes to go to the gym to work out. I try to make this a priority for our schedule.
Watch a couple of his favorite tv shows with him occasionally (definitely NOT my favorites )
Plan an in-house movie night for us a couple of times a month. Keep a list of movies I hear about that I think we would both like.
check out audiotapes (library) for his drive time
send an occasional email
Offer to help him clean / organize his office a couple of times a year.

I love what Mary wrote. I also notice my mood and reactions reflected in my dh. He is happy if the children and I are happy.
I often tell him what a great husband and father he is.
If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, I try to please him that way. He loves it when I get up early with him and fix his breakfast, lunch, and coffee. He also loves it when the children and I drive to meet him for lunch.
There are times, like yesterday, when I tell him coyly "Guess what I'm fixing you for supper." He gets to anticipate a wonderful hot meal all day long. Also, when he requests his favorite meal of chicken and dumplings, I make it.
Like Caroline does, I try to keep a fresh pot of coffee brewing. In our other house dh liked nothing better than us sitting together on the back patio enjoying our morning cup of coffee together. I lost my secluded backyard in the move three years ago and, though we still have a cup together when we have the time, it isn't the same as sitting in silence together with the birds singing and the smell of dew on the grass.

My husband is not a multi-tasker and I am, but sometimes I try and just listen to him. Even though I have to practically sit on my hands to keep from doing something!
I am also going to try and read a little on some of his interests (mostly our Perkins engine and sailing) this year. Sailing I'll enjoy, but the engines? If I could point to some part in the engine room and say "That is an injector" he'd probably fall overboard in shock!

Jennifer... that would be a sight
DH likes to have a clean home when he gets home from work... and good food. I try to provide both (it doesnt always work ).
He is yet another with the sweet tooth... so I like to make sure there are snacks for him in the house. he usually chooses his favourites though
Edited to correct embarassing spelling mistakes!

My husband mentioned once he started traveling with his job that he liked how there is a coffee maker in the room, so he can have fresh coffee while he's getting ready. So (thanks to a post on homeliving helper that I'd link to but am clueless how to do), I've started making coffee and toast for him and bringing it to him while he's still in the shower.
