I think I am going to switch all my feeds to your wonderful blogs to Google Reader. I've missed so many wonderful posts from you ladies lately because Bloglines has been inconsistent and troublesome. Google Reader is free, seems much better organized and gives you more options in tabbing and marking individual posts that you've had time to read or want to save for later.
If anyone has had a bad experience with Google Reader, please let me know. Like all of you, I don't have time to check in on every single blog every day to see if there are new posts and appreciate the convenience of a feed system to alert me when there is something new to read and enjoy. I just want a reliable system.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Katherine -- thanks for posting this; I've been using bloglines and didn't even know there was an alternative. I'll look into it too! THANKS!

Katherine -- ditto what Mary said.
I can't seem to get the hang of Bloglines. It was more trouble to me than a help. So I jumped at the alternative. I am finding Google Reader so easy and intuitive and as you say, better laid out. I haven't had a single problem yet, though it's only been a few days, of course. BUT what a difference! THANK YOU!

Thank you for bringing Google Reader to our attention. I just switched over from Bloglines and it was so easy. You can easily copy over your existing subscription. Yay! FYI, for Blogger Beta devotees, I found I was already subscribed in a blog called "Known Issues for Bloggers in Beta" which is useful. There was a posting that explained the problems some of us who have recently switched from Blogger to Blogger Beta have had with Bloglines. Thanks again!

Could you please tell me how you copied over? It was taking me painstakingly long that I stopped.

Jenn,
At the bottom of my feed listin Bloglines is a section called "Additional Features"
Click on Export Subscriptions
Save your file export.opml to your computer (pay attention where you file it)
In Google Reader click on Settings
Click on Import/Export
It will give you the opportunity to browse your system for the export.opml file
find the file and click upload
That should do it.
I hope this works for you!

Thanks! Worked out easily!
I have to say I visually like Bloglines better...mostly because I like black text on a white background. Boring, but easier on my eyes. Google seems to be a bit slower in responding, but my computer is also slow, so that compounds things.

I decided to givbe google reader a try today, but I'm having a few problems. I got all my subscriptions copied over easily, but organizing them in a better way seems to be kind of a pain. I had made a playlist on bloglines, which was helpful, so I thought I'd add google reader to a personalized web page, but it only seems to show the first 5 new posts of whatever blogs are first on the list? So if I want to check certain blogs regularly *first* from my homepage, do I just leave those uncategorized?
I've got to do a little more investigating in order to find out how to keep every single post from the list from disappearing before I get a chance to read it, too.
It'd be better if I did this when I had more than 10 minutes to spend on learning it, I guess.
