My mother likes to give books as Christmas gifts. I would love some ideas about books to request. I love to read about homemaking, organizing and homeschooling. I have several favorite quotes from St. Francis de Sales; any good books by/about him?

Have you tried scrolling through the various discussions on here? There are some suggestions for advent reading amongst other things
Perhaps visiting some of the blogs, which most people use to post their booklists on the sidebars of, might give you ideas.

One of my favourite resource though, is Jenn Miller who is fountain of knowledge on all things liturgical, and then there is Macbeth, who has a whole WEBPAGE of books listed . Also keep an eye open for Alice, Dawn, and Elizabeth Foss who also have extensive booklists on their blogs/websites.

My most favorite book by St. Francis de Sales is Thy Will Be Done published by Sophia Institute Press.

I've had this book for a couple of years and return to it repeatedly.

That's the exact book that went through my mind when I saw that you have an interest in St. Francis de Sales! It's wonderful, and an easy read.
