Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I want to say thank you to all you wonderful women who have helped me so much these last few weeks.

Dh is in NC, I and the kids are in Iowa, and we will begin the big trip next week. When we move we will homeschool, and I will be better prepared because I have learned so much here. My faith has been fortified, my heart has been soothed, my mind has been put to rest about this decision to change our education method.

Yesterday when we said goodby at the Catholic school, I was sad, but when I got home I felt so free! As I wondered where to put that worksheet on the counter "so I wouldn't lose it" I realized that I could throw it away. I recently read Melissa's post about why she homeschools (no time to GO to school because of all the learning) and I felt so joyful that we no longer have to get up and "go to shcool."

Thank you seems so inadequate, but I truly mean it.

Liz

Liz, good luck with the move and I know you are going to love homeschooling and real learning!
