Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Helen,
Can we call it the Loveliness of Motherhood and have it be the first Loveliness Fair of the year? I really love the idea!

And January 1st is Solemnity of the Mother of God! How much more lovely could you get than that!

Helen thanks for thinking of it ....

For the Loveliness of Motherhood, I thought I would dedicate this post to those who don't have blogs but would like to contribute a thought, a practice, a tradition related to "good mothering." Please feel free to use the comment section.

Everyone is so busy this time of year, I'm sorry to add one more thing. Hopefully, this is an easy request since Christmas is a time which lends itself to remembering family and the importance of Motherhood.

I hope to make one more post this week about the carnival.

The Carnival is up:
Loveliness of Motherhood

My usual disclaimer ... I'll probably have to fix it.

Happy New Year!

Beautifully done Helen! I especially appreciate the virtues subtitles.
For those of us whose own mothers (for one reason or another) were not really able or willing to mother, these glimpses at good mothers are invaluable. I've spsent my lifetime looking at how other mothers do it in order to be a better mother to my children. This fair is really a priceless treasure.
