Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

For those of you who are trying to make a switch to more skirts or all skirts, I wanted to mention that Christopher & Banks has dozens of long and medium length skirts on sale right now for less than $10 a piece. I went yesterday to peruse their sale racks and found many many beautiful, modest skirts for very affordable prices. There were none over $10 and normally most were almost $50. I bought a long navy, a dark brown, a deep purple and a medium denim and did not even spend $40. They are heavier fall fabrics and are well made.

They have a high turnover of stock in that store with items only being at regular price before they are put on the sale rack and marked down considerably.

The link I provided has a store locator for anyone interested.

As a side note, I took Mary Kathryn(3 1/2)with me to the mall, where she has only been one other time in her life (her mother is an online shopper ). She was thoroughly amazed at all the store windows and stopped to smell each and every perfume at the Macy's counters. The ladies thought we were nuts.

Thanks Rebecca. I never even heard of this store and it turns out, there's one at the mall closest to me.

Well I just did something I *never* do - I read this, hustled all the girls into the car, and bought two skirts. Unfortunately one is huge and I don't know if they had a smaller size, and the one I liked the best didn't come in my size. Maybe I'll try to find another local store. Thanks Rebecca! Now all I need are tops, tights, and shirts to match.

We have C&B's here and I love it. They are really a nice and reasonable store.

Same here . Thanks, Rebecca!

I just picked up two nice skirts at Savers. It must have looked comical...me walking up and down aisles all bent over, looking close to the floor to find the few LONG skirts all mixed in with the minis .

Love,

Love,
Angie, I just heard about this place this weekend (and it's only about 15 minutes from my house!). This is exactly what I do and boy do I get mad when I find full slacks when I've thought I've just stumbled upon a collection of longer skirts!

Thanks for the tips Rebecca and Angie. I went both places and got wonderful deals! I took the kids (I have four boys) to C&B. My oldest three boys and my blessing of an oldest girl who babysat the three younger ones behaved like angels. My little three (two of whom were girls!) were riotous. I tried on skirts. The shirts I bought I just prayed would fit (some are a little large, but that's OK) and tossed them on the counter. The day I went (day before T-giving), I saved 20% beyond the sale prices. Woohoo!
