Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have read a few conflicting pieces of information. Can I drink a detox tea with:
milk thistle (fruit)
Couch grass (root)
sarsaparilla (root)
peppermint (leaves)
dandelion (root)
lemon grass
uva ursi (leaves)
burdock (root)
fennel (fruit)

I am still nursing a 13 month old.

I am no expert but I, personally, would not try to detoxify unless for serious health reasons (cancer, etc.) while nursing. Detoxifying dumps all fat stored toxins into the blood stream and would be very concentrated in your milk, especially heavy metals. I have done a detox twice but was advised against doing it while nursing by both my osteopath and my nutritional consultant.

Both liver detox and colon cleansing can really tax the system for the first few days due to the dumping of gunk (for lack of a better term ).

Is it possible for you to wait until your baby has weaned?

It is possible. I just boughtthis tea for my husband & wondered if I could drink it as well. It is supposed to be gentle enough to drink 2-3 times a day. I try not to take anything while nursing, herb, medication, or food additive. Thank you for the information. I am just venturing into the herb field.
