Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone read this or tried it? My mom has been following it and has lost lots of weight. She said she believes it is a healthy way of eating. I'm just curious if anyone else has read it and what your thoughts are.

I think it is a healthy way of eating--no sugar or dairy or wheat. For me, that's healthy. I think the idea that the enzymes in cranberry juice flush your liver is ridiculous. In order to bottle that juice, it has to be enzyme-free--that's how they know it's pasteurized. But, unsweetened cranberry juice with stevia is certainly a great replacement for sweetened drinks and if you drink as much as she says, you're getting plenty of fluid. Angain, healthy. I would replace the flax oil with fish oil and I don't think you need as much as she says. Just my two cents...

Thanks Elizabeth,
In your opinion, do you think just drinking plain water or lemon water would be just as beneficial? I'm not sure I could get myself to drink that much cranberry juice anyway. Also, why do you think fish oil is better than flax? I am very much a novice when it comes to this stuff and I'm very interested. Thanks again!

This sounds intrigueing!
I just googled it, so I don't know much and will enjoy seeing what other responses you get.

An aside- fish oil capsules. My niece's dr. put her on these, prescription ones, as her cholesterol was going up. She said he told her that there could be a problem with OTC capsules and the "other stuff in them?" Maybe mercury? I will have to ask her to double-check with him and see exactly what his concerns were.

God Bless,

I recently went to hear a nutritionist speak. She really pushed using the distilled fish oil capsules. I know this was because the process removes the mercury, but I don't know about the cholesterol. The studies on fish oil are amazing.

I believe it is richer in Omega-3's than flax seed oil.
