Hi everyone!
Just a note that the next Loveliness Fair will be at my blog on November 13th! I put up a post with all the details this morning.
I hope you'll consider joining in - there is plenty of time to get a craft or two going before then - OR you could just write a post about your thoughts and hopes for this year!
I'd like submissions by Sunday, November 12th - and as always, non-bloggers are most welcome! Send me an email (drhaniganATverizonDOTnet) with your ideas and/or pictures, and I'll add in your entry!
You can also PM me here or reply to this thread.
I hope to hear from you!

Good morning!
Just bumping this thread - I only have one entry so far!
I wanted to say that your post does not have to be a showcase of projects you have made or are even working on. Goodness knows, all my gift ideas are still swirling around in my head! (Mixed in with those Thanksgiving lists! )
You could just write about what you hope to do this year, or maybe what you've done in the past. Maybe talk about favorite gifts you've received (especially those ones from the littlest of hands ).
How about how you get inspired? I just picked up the new Martha Stewart Holiday Issue and it is all about Handmade gifts!!!
Or how about a list of Homemade Gift Jar mixes? I am definitely using the delicious Russian Tea suggested by Elizabeth in the favorite winter drinks thread!
If its easier than posting or email, please leave a reply here with your thoughts and I will work them into the post. We could do it like a poll:
* What is your favorite homemade gift to give?
* What is your favorite homemade gift you've received?
(Maybe I should start a thread for each of those questions?)
Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you!!

Dawn,
I'll be writing a post about handmade gifts and send you the link -- than you can decide if it will fit with your theme.
Thanks for hosting this -- it sounds "lovely"!

BTW, Dawn, how do you insert the Loveliness Fair logo in the sidebar of your blog? I can't figure it out.

Katherine, I'm so sorry I didn't see your question before! I will try to remember how I did that. I think there is a thread somewhere here that explains how. (And if anyone knows off the top of their heads, please share the knowledge!)
And if anyone has posts or pictures/emails to send me for the fair, please do sometime this weekend (though really, I can always add you in on Monday )!
Thanks so much!

Hi Dawn!
I just picked up Martha's holiday issue. Very neat ideas (I am thinking of having the boys do the snowglobes!)
Since you seem to be a big Martha fan , would you happen to remember a craft from last year that involved decorating a candle holder (hurricane maybe?) with ?glitter in various designs? I saw it at a phy. therapy appt. with my ds, and thought it was so great, I would not forget how to do it. And now I have! If you or anyone has any clue about the craft I am talking about, please let me know. It was really pretty.
God Bless,
Stacy in MI

(And yes, big Martha fan here! )

Dawn,
I've added a bit to my blog post to mention that of all the handmade gifts magazines out there, the best one I've seen is Martha Stewart's Holiday Handmade Gifts. Altho it's got a hefty price tag, $6.95 -- it's well worth the cost!
Mom and I always pick up these holiday craft magazines and most of them are quite useless -- all recipes (how many ways can you make sugar cookies with frosting?) or all ads. Woman's Day's Christmas craft book is all about things you can buy !

OOps, Dawn, I just saw that you mentioned the MS magazine earlier -- it really is good, isn't it?

It looks really good, Mary! I have it sitting in my reading basket - haven't had a chance to read it yet, though. I was hoping it would be today - so as to get in the crafty-gifty mood for writing the Fair - but things have gone a bit awry here this afternoon. Nothing serious, just a *major* plumbing issue and dh has spent hours (upon hours) working on it. We're not there yet, he just ran out (in the pouring dark rain) to get a part he needs. Ay-yai-yai (sp?).
Anyway, looks like the fair will be posted sometime tomorrow, but not bright and early I'm afraid. So plenty of time left for any one who would like to send me something!
And thank you SO much for all the entries so far!
(ETA - If you happened to read my post today I have to say that the beef stew is now overcooked in the crockpot and the potatoes and popovers are decidedly NOT in the oven ! We'll be lucky to get toast tonight! )

OK, my day has quieted down (at last!) and I have the Fair mostly written up. I will probably be able to post it in the morning - but please feel free to send me your links whenever is good for you. I can easily add you in anytime tomorrow.

It's up everyone! But please send me things right on through the day and I will add them right in. We have extended therapy appointments later this morning, so I wanted to get it up early, before lessons.
Thanks so much everyone for your loving support!
