I have one of those machines that clamps to the edge of the counter and peels, cores, and slices apples. It seems to be more trouble than it's worth - typically it slips all over the place so that it doesn't really concentrate the effort on the apple.

Does anyone else have a machine of this sort? What kinds/brands have you all found that work well? Any suggestions for making such a contraption work best?
