We are gearing up here. To distract myself from pregnanycy nausea we are going to really get into the World Series.

I will be directing this all from the couch as I lie down to battle .

We are going to read every storybook and science book about tigers and cardinals. Ds10 will help with the read alouds as will Dad.

We are going to "travel" to Detroit and St. Louis (through books).

And we're going to learn about real Cardinals, as in the priests, which the cardinal bird is named after.

I might encourage the kids to make masks-either cardinals or tigers, whichever they prefer.

I have heard that several of the players on the Cardinals team were interiewed on EWTN and are Catholic. My boys were very impressed. We didn't see the interview, but heard about it.

Its almost game time. . .play ball!

This will be good fun...we did the Amanda Bennett baseball unit study last spring and had a wonderful time.

My husband and I both grew up in Michigan and my husband has always followed the Cardinals. To him this is a dream World Series--he can't lose. So he has decided to pack up the older boys (14 and 13) and take them to see game 3 in St. Louis. I'll see if I can't squeeze out a narration from them when they get back.
