I don't know that this is a criminal or even an abortion case. The article says that it is unknown whether she even sought an abortion or mental/health care. I have a feeling she didn't do either. Frankly, I think the woman is mentally unbalanced - severely so to the point that her remaining living chidlren need to be taken away from her. And I absolutely never say that lightly.

Regardless of her boyfriend, and I question that, it is not ever normal for a mentally healthy person to hold a gun on oneself and pull the trigger. I don't know that it was suicidal or just unbelievably psychotic in other ways, but she is not a healthy woman.

She knew what she was doing.    

She called 911 and told them someone named Travis shot her. Why isn't she being prosecuted for filing a false report?

She said someone else loaded the gun for her. Why isn't that person being prosecuted?

She also said she didn't want to deal with the boyfriend for the next 18 years and that was the reason she did it. If she had given the baby up for adoption she still wouldn't have had to deal with him but the baby would still be alive.

So many young people today have so many mixed up ideas. Everything is "relative" nothing is absolute. It is scary, sad, and very tragic. May God open their eyes and their hearts.
