Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

H.CON.RES.222 - PASSED in The House of Representatives

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, October 15th has passed in Congress.

I got word about this just a little while ago. This has been a long fight for Robyn Bear, who has been leading the charge for this cause for several years.

Last year when I was going thru grief counseling after our most recent loss of baby boy Jack at almost 20 weeks, I discovered this cause, and have supported it since. Robyn has worked tirelessly to make sure our country remembers our babies.

October 15th is now Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. October 15 was also the due date of our baby boy. I find no coincidence in that at all.

Just thought those of you who have experienced losses would like to know we now have an "official" day when we can remember all our babies--and the rest of the country will remember them, too.

Robyn has a wonderful website here:

Isn't October 15th the feast day of St. Gerard? Patron Saint of Expectant Mothers?

I am so sorry for the loss of your little Jack. We will remember you most especially this October 15th.

I've lost two children this way. Thanks for telling me about this day. That's great to know.
