I picked up one for the kids at a garage sale, never dreaming they would love it so much. But it's really a vet kit- with nail clippers, and it's all cheap plastic. So I would like to buy them a real kit for Christmas, maybe with a stethescope that really works.

Does anyone know where to find a good one? I've been checking around but so far have only seen similar plastic ones.

Hmnn.. I just received a catalog in the mail from Montessori Services called in Small Hands (or something like that). There was, in the catalog a working stethoscope. Maybe - $15.00 - I could be wrong. Anyway, I just looked on their website and they didn't have it there. You might try giving them a call.

That's the only thing like that I've seen in the myriads of toy catalogs that have hit my mailbox in the past few weeks...
