Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I don't have a Typepade account, but can I just give a little rant? I cannot stand the verification letters' box they have. I can't read the the letters. It takes me at least three tries each time I try to leave a comment.

I know my eyesight is going because of my age, but I didn't think it was this bad.

Jenn,
I think box is optional for blog owners. As I recall you choose to have people do that or not.

I'm one of those people you'd hate. I have people do it because I have heard that spambots can leave comments containing profanity or worse. So, I'm annoyed, too, but I have people do it to keep disgust off my blog.

Anyway, Jenn, you're right, they are hard to read. I have a large high defintion monitor because it is also our TV for family movies and baseball watching, and even with that its hard. . .

Do you think its worth it? Do you think it cuts down on disgusting spam? What do others think?

Let me clarify, I'm not annoyed that owner's take that extra step to keep down the spam. I think you're right in doing it. I just wish Typepad wouldn't make it so darn hard to read!

Is there a place I can complain to Typepad?

I agree with you, Jenn. I don't have that for my comments, but I may. It's hard for me to read too.

I don't have them on my blog unless they show up randomly which I know they do on occaision. I find them a little time consuming when I'm zipping through and trying to comment.

I think they are a valuable spam-fighting tool, but you are right, Jenn, typepad's are too hard to read. Other ones are not so bad, so there is no reason theirs has to be so illegible!
