Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Plan ahead now!

The Loveliness of Elegant Simplicity will be this next week (Sept 18th).

Remember that you don't have to have a picture perfect house to do this. You can feature some little aspect of your living room.

PM me with your URL throughout this week and weekend. (Even throughout Monday I'll add people in! )

Don't stress--have fun!

Just wondering what you mean by "Living Room"? In the South when I was growing up, the Living Room was more formal and more like a parlor. We called the more active family area either the Den or the Family Room.

Jenn,
I was actually wondering this, too. I signed up for hosting this, but I am not one who thought of it.

Let's say the main area where you would host guests. I am thinking it would be the room that people would sit and visit (other than the kitchen).

However, if people want to include family rooms also, I think that would be fine.

Also, how did you put the loveliness participant thingy on your blog?
Thanks.

Cheryl,
The best way to get me your post is to PM me.

I absolutely cannot believe I'm about to give advice on how to do something computerish! I'm usually all thumbs. This is how I did, there might be a better way.

I right-clicked on the picture which was listed on the bedroom thread, I believe. I saved it onto my computer (like in "my pictures" or whatever you use).

Then you go to typepad and you click on typelists (this is if you want to make it a sidebar that you can click on--I just had it link to Elizabeth's explanation of the whole loveliness fairs).

You will set up a "link" typelist, so you'll upload the picture from your computer to typepad in one of your photo albums. Then you open the picture fully to get its address and you right click and copy that. (like "http:. . .")

Go to typelist and start a new link typelist that you'll call "Loveliness. . .(Whatever you'll call it).

Here's the tricky part:

You'll see some white boxes: 1st one- "link title" you have to write <img src="right click http here"/>

So your http is between those quotes.

2nd box-"link URL": I use Elizabeth's http://ebeth.typepad.com/reallearning/2006/08/august_14_2006 _.html

You can copy above.

3rd box-"notes" This is what the cursor says when it goes over your link.

Whew! Got it?

OR. . .

just upload it from your computer as a picture on that post.

Sarah,
Thanks for hosting the fair. You did a great job. I also want to thank you for the instructions you typed out for me. My loveliness logo link is up and working. I couldn't have done it without your help.

Hi Sarah, I am new to the boards (and all of your blogs!) and I LOVED the idea of this fair. I hope it's ok, but I posted a link to my blog entry about this in your comment section today. I know it's late, but I just found out and I really wanted to participate, I hope that's ok! You don't have to add me to your post or anything, I just got so much inspiration from the other lovely homes that I wanted to join in! Thanks :-)
