I finally threw in the towel and we had Art Afternoon. (Illuminated Ink has some cool new mosaic kits!) I spent a great deal of time trying to make sure the flowers I ordered for my parents' 45th anniversary were really going to be sent...I fought my online Rosetta Stone software and it won (still can't use it)...about the time my mother-in-law whipped out her electric razor and shaved her legs in my family room, I realized that we just weren't going to have a full day of school, no matter what I did.   

Sigh.

Better luck next week, I guess.

Those are the days we pack it up and head for the great outdoors. In fact, we did that just yesterday! I call it a "sanity day" because there is nothing like a walk in the woods to keep you sane!

BTW--after caring for my MIL for her last years I have to say that your kids will laugh about things like the shaving in the LR. (Although I am still getting over my MIL drawing a hot pink shirt on my daughter with hot pink lipstick just before we had visitors. )
